The Annual ATB Jail and Bail takes place on Wednesday, August 2nd from 8am until 11am in front of the Bailey Theatre.  Stop in for the free pancake breakfast and watch as local celebrities attempt to bail themselves out of jail by raising money for the Camrose Swim Club and the Bailey Theatre.

The Annual Open Minds Wlk Run in support of the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta takes place on Saturday, August 26th at the Bill Fowler Centre.  You can register to participate in the 2.5KM, 5KM or 10KM by clicking here.

The Camrose Boys and Girls Club are hosting the annual Gary Brown Golf and Giggles Tournament on Saturday, September 16th at the Whistle Stop Golf Course.  Registration is at noon, with a shotgun start at 1pm.  The tournament will feature plenty of fun holes along with a Kubie Corner, Hole-In-One competitions and a steak dinner.  To register a team or individual, call 780-672-6490.

Sacred Arts is offering Yoga in the Park on Friday's throughout the summer.  Sessions will run from noon until 1pm and admittance is by donation to the Camrose Women's Shelter.  The Book Bike will also be present during the sessions.

The Camrose and District Centennial Museum will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary on Saturday, August 19th.  There will be live preformances starting at 10am along with Blacksmithing, Quilting and Spinning Wheel demonstrations. The day will also feature games, penny candy, birthday cake and much more!

On Wednesday, August 30th the Camrose Centennial Museum, in conjunction with Crafty Crafters, will be hosting a Family Craft Night.  Try your hand at crocheting, knitting, pom-pom making and yarn winding.  The Family Craft Night will begin at 7pm.

 


The Prom Project are excited for their third annual golf tournament on July 22nd at the Pipestone Links Golf Course in Millet. Tickets are just $80 a person and includes a day of golf, a catered dinner and prizes.  Proceeds from the event help studnets obtain graduation outfits, they may not be able to afford otherwise.  To register, call 780-216-0416.

The Bashaw Elks will be holding a fundraising Pork Chop supper on Saturday, August 12th.  Doors open at 5pm with dinner at 6pm.  The evening will feature hypnotist/comedian Joe Francis with a DJ to follow.  Tickets are $35 and are available at Bashaw Meats, Hevk Home Hardware or from any Bashaw Elks member.  Proceeds from the dinner will go to the Bashaw Fire Department.
